About

I am a Software Engineer primarily focused on distributed systems, infrastructure software, AI agents, MCP servers, and open source software. However, I am interested in all kinds of software and adjacent technologies, including compute-intensive hardware and 3D graphics, but some favorites include the Rust programming language, Linux and most recently, Claude Code. I also love startups.

Previously, I was on a world-class team building System Initiative (source code). I joined as the second engineer and fifth person in the company. Eventually, I managed a small team as an engineering manager, in addition to my engineering work.

Before that, I worked at SUSE (went public in 2021), Rancher Labs (acquired by SUSE in 2020), and NetApp. During my university years, I led a team that founded WakeHacks, the university’s annual hackathon.
