Beliefs

Inspired by the “Some things I believe” section on Nat Friedman’s website, these are some things that I also believe. This list is ordered alphabetically and is an early work in progress.

• Exactly one person should be responsible for a given task
• Go to music concerts in as many different genres as you can
• Knowing and indicating that you do not know something is better than the ambiguity of whether or not you know it
• Occam’s razor is incredibly reliable
• Stability is not achieved through advanced precision, but through the accretion of learning about the domain and refactoring¹
• You are who you surround yourself with
• You and I are not immune to propaganda
